"Machen Sie eine typische Handbewegung" - das Publikum rät dann, welchen Beruf man ausübt. Aber welcher der vielen ist denn gemeint? Schoppen halten, Wäsche aufhängen, am Computer sitzen? Die Fotografin Heidi Lender hat sich selbst in verschiedenen Rollen, die sie als Mutter, Partnerin, Arbeitskraft und Haushälterin wahrnimmt, fotografiert. Die Fotoserie (hier mehr davon) ist ein Tribut an ihre Mutter und an alle "Superwomen" der Welt, die alles unter einen Hut bringen.

When I was a child, we had this TV show, where the contestants had to make one typical movement of the hand, and the others had to guess for which profession it stood. I thought of this the second I saw these pictures. But which is the typical movement of a mother/housekeeper/worker/wife? Heidi Lender's self-portraits depict her in the many different roles a woman fulfills. Find more of them here.
